About Frida Kahlo
Things you probably didn't know about the iconic artist.
Frida appeared in VOGUE Magazine
There is a web talk that Kahlo showed up on a 1939 front of Vogue Paris, however truly, her first appearance in the magazine was in 1937. In the October 1937 issue of American Vogue, Kahlo was highlighted in an article called Senoras of Mexico. Toni Frissel shot her close to an agave plant and she was highlighted uniquely inside the magazine, not on the cover. The 1939 Vogue cover is just a cunning mockup utilizing a notorious picture of Kahlo taken by photographic artist Nickolas Muray, with whom Kahlo had a drawn-out illicit relationship. In actuality, the craftsman wouldn't make it onto the front of Vogue until well after her demise. The November 2012 issue of Vogue Mexico utilized Muray's photo, making her a beauty queen very nearly 60 years after her demise.
